Hor, Hór, alebo Latinsky Horus je meno staroegyptského vládcu, boha slnka, nebies a svetla. V dávnej mytológii boli slnko a mesiac považované za jeho oči.
Svetelná inštalácia Hor je pokračovaním série festivalových inštalácií viditeľných zo širokého okolia mesta Žilina, ktoré sa stali súčasťou už štyroch uplynulých realizácií festivalu ŽIŽA. Svetelné lúče presvetľujúce nočnú oblohu zrkadlia dynamický, tepajúci život mesta pod nimi a tentokrát sa rozsvietia priamo zo srdca centra mesta, z balustrády.
Hor or Horus in Latin is the name of the ancient Egyptian ruler, the god of the sun, sky and light. In ancient mythology, the sun and moon were considered his eyes.
The light installation Hor is a continuation of a series of festival installations visible from the wide surroundings of Žilina, which have been part of the past four editions of the ŽIŽA festival. The beams of light illuminating the night sky mirror the dynamic, pulsating life of the city below, and this time they are going to be lit directly from the heart of the city centre – from the balustrade.
